Burglary Report 18th October

Dear Citizen

Homecroft Drive, between 8am & 3pm 12th Oct, entry gained to a house by smashing a rear double patio door. All rooms searched with jewellery and watches being stolen. Inc. 319 12-10-2021 Springbank

Wellington Square between 5.30pm & 9.25pm 13th Oct  ground floor flat attacked by smashing patio windows. No entry gained apparently and nothing stolen. Inc. 412  13-10-2021 Pittville/St Pauls

Ewlyn Road, reported at 00.55am 14th Oct that 3 males had been seen coming from a property via the front window, they left in a small car which turned left into Leckhampton Road towards the Norwood Arms. Nothing reported stolen, possibly an attempt to find the keys to a high end vehicle on the drive way. Entry had been gained via the window the male left through. Inc. 23 14-10-2021 Leckhampton

Winstonian Road, report at 1.25am 14th Oct  that three males were acting in a suspicious manner, looking into cars approaching the front door of a particular house, hiding when vehicles approach. Officers attended the scene as males fled in a vehicle which then collided with numerous vehicles. The vehicles was abandoned with the males fleeing on foot. The abandoned vehicle was found to be a stolen vehicle from Winchcombe on false plates. House found to have been entered by forcing the front door. Possibly offenders were looking for keys to a high end vehicle on the driveway. Inc. 30 14-10-2021 Fairview

East End Road, Charlton Kings, between 11.15am & 1.30pm 15th Oct house entered by smashing the rear French window glass, inserting hand and releasing lock using key left in lock. All rooms searched with ornaments and jewellery stolen. Inc 208 15-10-2021 Charlton Kings

Dunalley Street, between 7pm 11th  2.50pm 15th Oct. Entry gained to a flat by forcing the sash lock on a window. Room searched but nothing reported stolen to date. Inc. 243 15-10-2021 St Pauls

Old Reddings Road, between 5pm & 11.15pm 16th Oct entry gained to hose by smashing rear patio doors. All rooms searched with watches, jewellery and cash being stolen. Inc. 499 16-10-2021 Benhall

Do not leave keys in window and door locks close to glass which when smashed allows access to the keys.
As can be seen above car keys are valuable items and must be kept secure and out of sight and don’t forget about the spare keys
Consider the use of movement sensor security lighting and CCTV to cover vulnerable areas such as rear patio windows, flat roofs and sheds.
