Theft of Catalytic Converters

Alert message sent 14/10/2021 15:38:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Two catalytic converters have been stolen from vehicles parked in Station Street in Tewkesbury.  The first occurred overnight on 8thth and 9th October and the second happened during the following night.

Replacing Catalytic converters is expensive and theft can be difficult to prevent unless a protective shield or cage is installed underneath the vehicle.  Parking in busy, well-lit places and as close to your home as possible will make theft much more difficult but not impossible. An alarm that is sensitive to vehicle movements is also an additional consideration.
