Covid tickets issued Bourton

Alert message sent 30/01/2021 09:08:00

Information sent on behalf of Gloucestershire Constabulary

A vehicle involved in Hare Coursing on the A40 at Northleach last Sunday 24th January was stopped in Bourton-on-the-Water High Street last night at 11pm. ( Not the one pictured , this has now been crushed!!)
We had placed a police national computer marker on the vehicle. Gloucestershire Police Special in an ANPR equipped vehicle stop searched the four male occupants for hare coursing evidence. Nothing was found, but as they had all travelled from South Wales without a reasonable excuse they were all issued £200 Covid tickets. We have informed Gwent Police who may also want to issue them with Covid tickets for travelling out of Wales without reasonable excuse.

Thank you to our eagle eyed Special Constabulary colleagues.

Many thanks
