O2 Scam Text Message

Police are aware of a scam text message being sent, purporting to be from O2, and informing people that there are issues with their Direct Debit.

If you receive a text message like this, we strongly advise that you do not click on any of the links for follow any instructions given to you.

Please share this information with elderly relatives, neighbours and friends, so that those who are most likely to be targeted are aware that this is taking place.

If you suspect that you may have been the victim of fraud please report this to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or visiting https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report-a-fraud-including-online-crime.

Fraud can also be reported to police by calling 101.
Please remember if you should see someone acting suspiciously in your area please report to police on 101 or email: 101@gloucestershire.pnn.police.uk
