We have received numerous reports of a HMRC scam call in Gloucestershire and are reminding everyone to please remain vigilant.
It comes after a woman received a phone call from a man claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs. When he was questioned for confirmation of his credentials, he began to be abusive towards her.
If you receive any calls of this type we advise that you put the phone down straight away and do not follow any instructions given to you.
Please can this information be shared with elderly relatives, neighbours and friends so that those who are most likely to be targeted are aware that this is taking place.
