Burglaries in Tewkesbury & Bishops Cleeve areas.


Overnight of the 29th 30th Oct an attempt was made to enter a garage of a house in Springfield, Tewkesbury. A hole was cut in the up and over garage door large enough to insert a hand. No entry gained and nothing stolen. Inc. 118 30-10-19

Over the same night a second garage was attacked in Stanford Road Tewkesbury where another hole was made in the up and over garage door near the lock. No entry gained and nothing stolen. Owners car parked close to the door preventing opening. Inc. 146  30-10-19

Between 7.30am 28th Oct & 8.30pm 31st Oct a house in Delphinium Drive Bishops Cleeve was entered by drilling the lock in the rear patio doors. Living room and bedroom searched. Stolen was cash, jewellery and watches. Inc. 451 31-10-19

Reported at 1.40pm on 2nd Nov that sometime in the last week a house in Meadway, Bishops Cleeve had been entered by smashing the rear patio window, using a pebble from the garden. Premises searched but unknown at this time what if anything has been stolen. Inc. 186 02-11-19

A vehicle parked closed to up and over garage doors will prevent them from being opened. Consider extra security on such doors such as ground anchors etc.
Where ever possible prevention access to the rear of your property. Consider the use of movement sensor lighting and CCTV to cover vulnerable areas.
