Burglary alert

We are appealing for information following two overnight burglaries in the north of the district and asking for help from members to identify a car that may be linked to last nights burglaries and at least two others in the Cotswolds.

Overnight, Wednesday 2nd July into Thursday 3rd July, two properties in Church Westcote near Stow-on-the-Wold have been burgled. In both cases garages have been accessed and attempts made to steal tools. A witness at one of these properties saw the offenders fleeing the scene in a white Ford motor car, possibly a Fiesta, that had a Taxi sign on its roof.

In mid-June a property under construction in the village of Todenham near Moreton-in-Marsh was burgled. Construction tools and materials were stolen. The victim reported seeing a white Taxi acting suspiciously in the area shortly before the burglary.

In the very early hours of 22nd May a farm building at Quenington near Fairford were burgled and construction tools were stolen. CCTV enquiries have identified the car pictured as being of interest. It is not ‘wearing’ a rooftop taxi sign but we are keen to identify the livery on the door and explore the possibility of a link to last nights break-ins.

If you saw the white Taxi in the Church Westcote area last night then please let us know, quoting incident 43 of 3rd July.  If you think you can help us identify the white car in Quenington in May then please quote incident 60 of 22nd May.
