Anti-social behaviour - Graffiti

We are aware of an increase of Graffiti in the Chalford and Bussage area.

The graffiti is mainly being done on the new electrical green boxes placed around the area. It appears to be multiple different people contributing to the graffiti and graffiti pens are being mostly used rather than spray cans. The main colours being used are black, blue, bright pink and purple.

Please check with any youths in your household if such items are in their possession, as well as their locations if out with friends, especially on the approach to the summer holidays.

Stay vigilant as to when you spot a new piece of graffiti and report this via 101 or the Gloucestershire Constabulary website. You could also make your local council aware who have regular communication with myself as the local PCSO. Having a better time frame and location of when the graffiti appeared, will help with the possibility of carrying out CCTV enquiries.

Luckily, the parish council have done a wonderful job as well as many local residents with clearing the graffiti off of property around the area. However this is not sustainable, very expensive and time consuming. Discussions with the local Frith Youth Club and Thomas Keble will be had to identify any known graffiti tags that have been identified that have been used both on local property as well as in their own buildings. Police will be visiting anyone identified with contributing to the graffiti, with the possibility of a Police Community Resolution being given.

If you witness any further incidents of antisocial behaviour, please report it online here: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/ro/report/asb/af/antisocial-behaviour/ Always call 999 in an emergency.

Please note, we're unable to accept reports of crime through Your Neighbourhood Alerts.
