Appeal for information following attempted burglary in Meysey Hampton


Police are appealing for information after an unknown person smashed a window in an attempt to gain entry to a home in Meysey Hampton.

 

The attempted burglary took place on Church Street between 11pm on Monday (9 June) and 11am yesterday morning (Tuesday 10 June).

 

Although a downstairs window was smashed, no-one gained entry to the property.

 

Enquiries are ongoing and police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident or may have information or footage they feel is relevant.

Homeowners are advised to install a 'WIDE' combination of security devices to help protect your home, shed or garage from burglary as well as ensuring that back gates are secure.

 

A 'WIDE' combination includes:

  • Window locks
  • Indoor lights on timer switches
  • Double door locks or deadbolts
  • External lights on a sensor
